John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, US, is to open its $543m terminal C.

The new terminal, which was built as part of the airport’s expansion and renovation project, will have 48 kiosks, a security area equipped with full-body scanners and a new parking structure with 2,000 spaces.

The terminal will also have six new passenger gates, touch-screen check-in terminals, two commuter terminals and new baggage carousels.

In addition, the Riley Terminal’s two gates were modified to accommodate a new 300 passenger-per-hour international arrivals facility.

Terminals A and B have also undergone renovations to ensure a seamless passenger experience throughout the airport.
