Air accident investigators have started examining the black boxes of the FlyDubai aircraft that crashed in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, killing all 62 people on-board.
Russia’s Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) stated that work have been started on extracting information from the Boeing 737-800 airliner’s flight recorders recovered from the debris of Flight FZ981. However, the recorders suffered significant damage in the crash.

The accident occurred during a second attempt to land in strong winds, after the pilots aborted a first landing attempt and circled over Rostov-on-Don Airport for nearly two hours, reports Wall Street Journal.
Although, the reason behind the delay in second landing, as well as the abortion of the first landing, will be revealed only after decoding the recorded radio communication between the pilots and air-traffic controllers.
The recorded discussion between the two pilots could also help investigators reveal what happened on the day of the crash.
Flydubai’s CEO Ghaith al-Ghaith noted that it was too early to conclude the cause of the crash, but officials have suggested it might be caused by pilot error, a technical difficulty or sturdy winds at the airport, reports Reuters.

By GlobalDataGhaith said in a statement: "As far as the investigation is concerned, we have specialists from our engineering, safety and security departments on the ground at the crash site.
"They will be working with the authorised authorities to help them identify the cause of the accident as soon as possible.
"They are there to provide expertise and any information the air accident investigators might need."
