Innovative Solutions & Support has signed an agreement with Eclipse Aerospace to provide an advanced avionics suite for the production model of the Eclipse 550 aircraft.
Under this agreement, the company will supply primary flight and multifunction displays as well as the integrated flight management (IFMS) and electronic flight bag system.

The advanced avionics suite will include dual flight management systems, auto throttles, synthetic vision and enhanced vision (FLIR).
The avionics suite will be equipped with 13 microprocessors in the IS&S displays control all major aircraft systems including electronic circuit breakers, radios, transponders and radars, FMS precision navigation, coupled auto-throttle, full VNAV and synthetic vision.
The synoptic pages in the suite will provide a graphical presentation and control of all major subsystems including calculations for take-off and landing performance, and weight and balance.
The Eclipse 550 aircraft will be a twin-engine jet aircraft with a design that utilises the same airframe and power plant of EA-500 model with improved design.
