Gulfstream is planning to deploy all six aircraft along its Florida/Bahamas routes, replacing smaller, 19-seat Beechcraft 1900D aircraft.
The carrier said that each aircraft will undergo a period of inspection and certification under US and Bahamian aviation regulations before being integrated into its fleet.
The carrier will deploy the Saab 340B Plus aircraft over a nine-month period beginning in mid-November 2011 when the first aircraft is scheduled for delivery.
