Goodrich said that its Sensors and Integrated Systems team in Burnsville, Minnesota, US, is producing the system and performing integration activities.

In addition, Goodrich will provide two Goodrich SmartDisplay EFB units, ARINC 828-compliant aircraft interface devices and Carlisle Interconnect Technologies EZMount display mounts and installation kits for each aircraft.

Goodrich’s advanced EFB portfolio, named cockpit data management system, provides proper connectivity to aircraft data networks and systems, which allows Monarch to maximise EFB utility and associated operational savings.

The new technology will enable the airline to run emerging Type C EFB applications such as controller-pilot data link communications (CPDLC) and ADS-B in-cockpit display of traffic information (CDTI).
