Flughafen Wien has begun planning work for the development of the new and advanced Office Park 4 at the Airport City at Vienna International Airport.

The airport operator is investing more than €50m in the new office property, which will provide more than 20,000m² of additional office space.

Slated to be constructed by the beginning of 2020, Office Park 4 will expand the facilities at Airport City.

Flughafen Wien Management Board member Günther Ofner said: “With its new Office Park 4, Vienna Airport is taking another step to enhance the attractiveness of the Airport City and the entire airport region.

“We not only want to target local companies but also international firms, especially Brexit refugees from Great Britain, in light of the fact that we boast a unique location in the heart of Europe.

Over the past 12 months, twelve companies with nearly 600 employees have established operations on the airport site.

The Airport City, which currently features Office Park 1, 2 and 3 and building 645, is working at almost full capacity, creating demand for additional office space.

Office Park 4 will be built on the west side of the tower on the entrance road to the airport area.

Planning work for the building started after approval was received from Flughafen Wien's supervisory board.
