LFV and Naviair, the air navigation service providers (ANSPs) of Sweden and Denmark respectively, have jointly selected EIZO for the deployment of its Raptor 2K x 2K primary control monitors.

Under the terms of the deal, the Japanese computer display company installed approximately 200 monitors at all air traffic control (ATC) centres and units across the two European countries.

The Raptor 2K x 2K primary control monitors have been integrated to provide enhanced image quality for displaying high-resolution air traffic management (ATM) applications and to meet the reliability requirements of the ATC environments through in-house development and manufacturing.

The selection of the EIZO monitors is said to be based on high testing and evaluation results, particularly for their screen clarity that produces minimal reflections.

"We chose EIZO because of their high flexibility, quality of their product, customer understanding, and overall an unmatched lifecycle cost."

Various mounting options were specifically customised before being installed on LFV and Naviair’s ATC centre workstations. The company also provided tailored stands and fixtures for mounting on arms.

Naviair ATM Systems MA manager Svend-Erik Stonor Krum-Møller said: “We chose EIZO because of their high flexibility, quality of their product, customer understanding, and overall an unmatched lifecycle cost.”
