DigitalGlobe, in collaboration with Ball Aerospace & Technologies, has completed the critical design review (CDR) for its next-generation remote-sensing satellite, WorldView-3.
The WorldView-3 satellite, which will expand DigitalGlobe’s orbiting constellation to four remote-sensing satellites, is slated to launch in the middle of 2014.

Ball Aerospace is providing the BCP 5000 remote-sensing instrument for the satellite and will integrate it onto the spacecraft bus, leading to system testing to deliver comprehensive Earth remote-sensing information.
