Airbus SAS has awarded a contract to Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc to design, manufacture and supply fan cowls for Pratt and Whitney PW1100G-JM engines.

The fan cowls will protect the PW1100G-JM engines from external impacts and improve aerodynamic performance.

US-based SkyWest has awarded a contract to Brazilian aircraft manufacturing company Embraer for the purchase of 20 new E-Jets for $914m.

The scope of the supply includes 15 70-seat E175 SC aircraft and a 76-seat E175 airframe.

Embraer has also agreed to deliver five additional 76-seat E175 aircraft under the contract.

Columbia Basin Helicopters has placed an order with US-based Kaman Aerosystems for a K-MAX single-engine, single-seat, medium-lift helicopter.
