
France-based Corail Helicopters has entered a contract to become the launch customer of the Fleet Keeper tool, which was developed by Airbus Helicopters to replace paper-based technical logbooks.
Part of Airbus Helicopters’ HCare connected services portfolio, the mobile and web-based tool also simplifies customer operations.

Fleet Keeper, which has recently been validated by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC), enables pilots, airworthiness managers and mechanic teams to record flight reports.
The tool also keeps track of technical events and transfers data to others in real-time.
Airbus Helicopters customer support and services executive vice-president Matthieu Louvot said: “Fleet Keeper is the latest of many improvements we are rolling out to enhance customer experience through the use of innovative, digital solutions dedicated to the support of flight operations.”
The company also said that the data recorded by Fleet Keeper can be stored in a secured cloud-based database, which can be accessed by tablets or personal computers (PC).

Corail Helicopters general manager Fabrice Lourme said: “We believe this tool matches our fleet requirements and will enhance our daily activities by bringing our operations into the digital age.”
Formed in 2003, the company currently operates a fleet of seven Airbus helicopters for commercial flights and aerial work missions.
Airbus Helicopters has so far provided 12,000 helicopters to more than 3,000 customers in 154 countries.
