Cessna Aircraft Company, part of Textron’s Textron Aviation division, has announced production roll-out of the first Citation CJ3+ aircraft at its facility in Wichita, Kansas, US.

The new aircraft was initially announced on 20 March and is expected to receive Federal Aviation Administration certification during the second half of this year.

Cessna Aircraft jets vice-president Chris Hearne said: "We are eager to get the CJ3+ into the hands of customers later this year where they will benefit from the upgraded Garmin G3000 flight deck and incorporation of the latest Citation cabin features."

"The aircraft is equipped with Garmin G3000 avionics suite that includes turbulence detecting weather radar, and advanced terrain awareness warning systems."

The Citation CJ3+ aircraft features all-new interiors with a revamped cabin and cockpit, as well as new pressurisation and diagnostics systems.

The aircraft is equipped with the Garmin G3000 avionics suite that includes turbulence detecting weather radar, TCAS II, and advanced terrain awareness warning systems (TAWS).

It also features automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) capabilities in line with a significant aspect of announced next-generation (NexGen) air traffic control requirements.

In addition, the aircraft features a wireless media server, Garmin integrated cockpit and cabin Iridium phone, along with high-speed internet capabilities.

The CJ3+ has a range of up to 2,070nm, and can fly passengers non-stop from Washington DC to Mexico City; from San Diego, California, to Juneau, Alaska; or from Lima, Peru, to São Paulo, Brazil.
