Civil aviation authorities in Brazil and Argentina have certified Cessna Aircraft’s Citation M2 business jet, leading the way for deliveries of the aircraft in the region.
The Citation M2 was showcased at the Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition.
Cessna Aircraft international sales vice president Robert Gibbs said: "The market in Latin America has shown tremendous interest in the Citation M2 due to its competitive acquisition and operating costs, its airport performance and its advanced onboard systems."
The aircraft received the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification in June and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification in December 2013.
Cessna has delivered 31 Citation M2s to customers in the first half of this year.
With a maximum cruise speed of 404k, the Citation M2 has 460 miles per hour of airspeed, a range of 1,580nm and the ability to climb 41,000ft in 24 minutes.
