PCX Aerostructures division Cam-Tech Manufacturing has installed a new machining centre to increase the production of large format aircraft parts at its facility in Texas, US.

The newly installed T1 Makino 5-Axis machining centre offers enhanced efficiencies in processing hard alloy components for various aerospace platforms.

It will also help Cam-Tech Manufacturing to meet the demanding requirements of the aerospace industry by improving accuracy, reducing cycle times and providing broad range of automation features when machining large structures.

The company provides flight critical and structural assemblies for rotorcraft and fixed-wing aerospace platforms for defence and commercial markets, as well as the power generation industry.

With facilities in Connecticut, New York and Texas, the company produces complex parts machined from hard alloys, including titanium, inconel and steel.
