Bombardier has selected seven new suppliers to design and manufacture key systems for its Global 7000 and Global 8000 jet programme.

The suppliers include Rockwell Collins, Parker Aerospace, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems, Liebherr-Aerospace, Apparatebau Gauting and Arrowhead Products.

Rockwell Collins has been selected for the avionics system and primary flight control computer, and Parker Aerospace will provide the hydraulics system and fly-by-wire flight control technology.

Bombardier has selected Messier-Bugatti-Dowty to provide the main and nose landing gear system and Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems has been chosen for the wheels and braking system.

Liebherr-Aerospace will provide the air management system, Apparatebau Gauting will supply the water and waste system, and Arrowhead Products will provide the ducting system.

The Global 7000 aircraft feature a four-zone cabin, a cruise speed of Mach 0.90 and a range of 7,300nm, and are scheduled to enter into service by 2016.
