Bombardier has formed a collaboration with Globalparts.aero for planning, stocking and parts distribution for its Learjet series of aircraft.

Under the deal, Globalparts will be primarily responsible for all Learjet 20, Learjet 30 and Learjet 50 series of aircraft.

Since the 1960s, Bombardier produced 2,000 Learjet 20, Learjet 30, and Learjet 50 series of aircraft. Most of them are still in use.

GlobalParts.aero senior vice-president Malissa Nesmith said: "We are prepared to enhance support for Learjet 20, Learjet 30, and Learjet 50 series aircraft customers right away.

"We have expanded our inventory of Learjet parts in recent months and have the capability and expertise to repair parts as well.

Bombardier’s Learjet series serve both commercial and military sectors.

In 1990, Bombardier acquired Learjet, which was one of the first companies to manufacture a private, luxury aircraft.

Bombardier Business Aircraft parts services vice-president Bill Molloy said: "This agreement will ensure that many more parts will be available at a competitive price and we expect it will have a positive impact on our operators’ cost of ownership.
