Bombardier Rolls Royce

Bombardier Aerospace has signed a new engine service agreement with Rolls-Royce to perform maintenance services for BR710 engines deployed on Bombardier’s Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 jet liners.

Under the deal, Bombardier-owned service centres in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Singapore serving business aircraft operators will be authorised by Rolls-Royce to carry out line maintenance on Rolls-Royce engines

The centres will also be authorised to perform engine removals, which are then dispatched to Rolls-Royce for heavy maintenance.

In addition, Bombardier Aircraft Service Centres and Bombardier operators will have a direct access to Rolls-Royce technical service representatives, as well as Rolls-Royce’s portal to facilitate support and technical troubleshooting.

The latest engine service agreement will enable the companies to jointly provide seamless support to CorporateCare customers.

Commenting on the agreement, Bombardier Aerospace Aircraft Service Centers vice-president Stan Younger said: "Collaborating with companies like Rolls-Royce ensures that our service centres are able to ramp up their worldwide service offering and offer customers the quickest and highest quality service on every major aircraft component during their visit at a Bombardier facility."

Rolls-Royce Civil small and medium engines services and customer support senior vice-president Andrew M Robinson said: "We are delighted Bombardier has expanded their agreement with us to include Amsterdam and Singapore, this expansion compliments our global strategy and further strengthens our relationship with our valued partner Bombardier."

In March 2012, the companies signed a similar deal authorising Bombardier Aircraft Service Centers in Dallas, Tucson, Hartford and Fort Lauderdale.

Currently, 175 Global aircraft are being operated in Europe and 35 in the Asia-Pacific region.
