Bombardier Aerospace has secured firm orders for seven commercial jets, worth nearly $261m at list prices, from three airlines in Asia and Hawaii.
Hawaii Island Air has placed a firm order for two Q400 NextGen turboprop jets, valued at $60.9m, with options for four additional aircraft. The aircraft will feature a dual-class, 71-seat configuration.

Thai low-cost airline Nok Air has also converted two previously booked Q400 NextGen aircraft options to firm orders, worth $64m.
The original contract, signed on 19 November 2013, also included two firm-ordered aircraft and four purchase rights.
Bombardier’s Q400 NextGen aircraft, built at the company’s Toronto, Ontario facility, is fuel-efficient, and is optimised for short-distance operations.
The aircraft features extra capacity configuration that can accommodate up to 86 passengers.

By GlobalDataBombardier also received a third firm order for three CRJ900 NextGen regional jets from China Express Airlines.
The original conditional purchase agreements for five CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, with options on an additional eight CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, were announced on 2 December 2013.
Based on list prices, the firm order for the three CRJ900 NextGen aircraft is valued at about
$136m.
