“Today's order is set to play a key role in our growing business in the years to come."

Boeing Commercial Airplanes North-East Asia sales vice-president Rick Anderson said: “This order is an endorsement of their confidence in the 787 Dreamliner, which is the first choice for many single-aisle operators to start wide-body operations.”

Incorporating Boeing’s 787-8 aircraft design, the 787-9 Dreamliner provides improved fuel efficiency to its operators.

Boeing recently announced Singapore Airlines’ intent to purchase 20 777-9s and 19 787-10 Dreamliners.
