US-based Air Lease (ALC) has taken delivery of its first ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft from European turboprop manufacturer ATR.
The company had previously agreed to buy 12 ATR 72-600s with an option for eight additional aircraft.

The aircraft seats 68-74 passengers and is equipped with a Pratt & Whitney 127M engine offering a maximum take-off weight of 23,000kg, a maximum load of 7,500kg and a range of 899nm with full passenger load.
The ATR-600 series aircraft features improved avionics, extra cabin space, larger overhead bins and can also feature a dual-class cabin and in-flight entertainment.
Following the delivery, Brazil’s TRIP Linhas Aereas will lease and operate the aircraft along with the next five ATR 72-600s delivered to ALC.
