Under the agreement extension, Verizon will provide ARINC with cloud services through its Terremark IT services subsidiary for the delivery of ARINC’s airline check-in solution, vMUSE Enterprise.

The solution will use a new IT delivery model to help airport terminals eliminate on-site servers, high-bandwidth requirements, climate-controlled rooms and technical manpower to run check-in services.

Verizon’s cloud-based solution enables ARINC to avoid buying, maintaining and configuring the hardware and software needed to deliver its applications, the company said.
