UK-based aero-engine parts supplier ANT Industries has secured a £25m deal to provide components for six new civil engine programmes for an undisclosed Spanish aerospace manufacturer.

Under the five-year deal, ANT Industries will provide engine parts for Trent 1000 engine, which will be equipped with Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and a PW815 engine for the Spanish manufacturer’s 100-seater aircraft.

ANT Industries managing director Shaun Rowley said: “Like many businesses in the aerospace industry, we are seeing further opportunities due to the continuing growth in the global aerospace market.

"We are seeing further opportunities due to the continuing growth in the global aerospace market."

“As a result, we have made substantial investments in capital equipment, and in research and development, to give us a competitive advantage, which has undoubtedly helped us to win this order.

“We operate in the high value-added end of the market where some of our manufactured parts can take up to 30 man hours to complete. This deal will enable us to grow the business further and enables even more investment in new technologies and in our people.”

A member of the UK’s Coventry and Warwickshire Aerospace Forum (CWAF), ANT Industries currently produces 36,000 engine parts in a year.
