All Nippon Airways parent company ANA Holdings has entered a deal with Airbus to purchase three A380 superjumbos.
The Japanese carrier will take delivery of its first A380, equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, by 2019.

With the latest order, ANA aims to meet increasing traffic demands in and out of the country.
Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Airbus president Fabrice Brégier said: "As one of the world’s most prestigious airlines, ANA Group will be able to benefit from the A380’s proven operating economics and unrivalled passenger appeal.

Compared to its rivals, the A380 family of aircraft are said to help their operators increase profit by up to 65% per flight. The A380 can carry 544 passengers in one flight.
In 2014 and 2015, ANA ordered 37 A320 single aisle aircraft from Airbus.
Airbus recently received an order for 118 single-aisle planes, valued at $25bn from Iran Air. The order includes 12 units of A380s.
Airbus has received 319 firm orders for the A380 from 19 airlines worldwide, of which 179 A380s have been delivered to 13 airlines.
A380 currently operates on more than 100 routes to 50 destinations.
