Airbus Defence and Space has entered a deal with Bird.i to have real-time on-line visualisation access to the freshest Pléiades and SPOT satellite images.
The arrangement will also support the development of new applications and services across several ranges of related analytics markets.

The newly signed agreement will see Bird.i have on-line access to One Atlas, a satellite image library developed by Airbus.
Airbus Defence and Space intelligence business cluster head Bernhard Brenner said: “Bird.i is proposing an easy way of exploring the earth, and we are very happy to see our high and very high-resolution satellite imagery as a core layer in this.
“We are glad to help Bird.i enter new markets, where quick access and visualisation of the most recent satellite images will bring tangible benefits to many businesses.”
Bird.i was established last year, and has developed a plug-and-play application programming interface (API) for mapping and location-based applications for various requirements, including professional and leisure needs.
