Aeromexico and Lockheed Martin Commercial Flight Training (LMCFT) inaugurated the new Boeing 787 flight simulator at the Mexican carrier’s training facility.
The device will train Aeromexico’s pilots in real operating conditions.

The simulator was qualified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) to Level D, which is considered to be the highest recognition for a simulator in terms of aviation safety and operability.
With the help of the simulator, Aeromexico can optimise scheduling and control of the pilot training process, as well as streamline the availability and productivity of its employees.
The device provides advanced technologies such as real aircraft panels and a 200° field of view visual system with more than 30 different specific visual scenes, including Mexico City International Airport, London and Paris.
Eyevis projectors and Rockwell Collins EP8000 image generator deliver panoramic views and detailed airport scenes to the crew.

By GlobalDataThe visual system, instructor operating station and an electro-pneumatic motion system installed in the simulator provide flight scenarios in various weather conditions.
Aeromexico CEO Andres Conesa said: "With the addition of this simulator, more than 200 pilots flying our nine Boeing 787s and a total of 19 Boeing 787s in the future can continue training using the best devices."
The airline intends to focus on updating and upgrading its Boeing 737 and Embraer flight simulators, developing web platforms, mobile applications and social networks usage.
Boeing uses its 787 Dreamliner simulators to train pilots.
