At present, over 80 airports globally are now accredited under the ICAO-supported Airport Health Accreditation programme.

ACI World launched Airport Health Accreditation programme in July 2020 to assist airports by assessing airport Covid-19 health measures against global standards.

The programme offers airports an assessment of how aligned their health measures are with the ICAO Council Aviation Recovery Task Force (CART) Recommendations and with industry best practices.

Oman Airports manages and operates the MIA, which is situated in Seeb, 32km from the old city and capital Muscat within the Muscat metropolitan area.
