Leading ground services provider Menzies Aviation has expanded its cargo handling platform, selecting CHAMP Cargosystems to integrate a customs filing process to the cargo management platform.
The Menzies Aviation Cargo Handling (MACH) system was launched recently to aid customer service provision in its cargo handling business. Menzies said it handles approximately 2 million tonnes of cargo annually.

The Traxon Global Customs (TGC) technology is provided by CHAMP, and has been tested with Menzies customers at Los Angeles International (LAX). After a successful trial period, it is set to be fully woven into the MACH system.
“The solution reduces the risk of customs ‘holds’, providing a platform that allows Menzies to quickly respond and adapt to specific country customs requirements while simplifying reporting requirements by using CHAMP as a single gateway for more than 65 customs authorities worldwide,” Menzies explained.
The firms said they expected TGC to be fully available on MACH worldwide by the end of 2024.
