London Luton Airport (LLA) in the UK has reported a 90% fall in passengers travelling through the airport in November compared to the same period last year.
In November, the airport welcomed around 105,000 passengers.

These figures come after the second coronavirus-induced lockdown ended in the country.
The airport is now expecting an increase in passenger numbers in December after the government announced the introduction of its Test to Release scheme for aviation.
From 15 December, after a private coronavirus test, passengers will be able to conclude their self-isolation after five days instead of 14.
LLA CEO Alberto Martin said: “We welcome the introduction of the new Test to Release scheme for aviation. It is a vital first step in restoring confidence in air travel and supporting the airport’s gradual recovery. We hope to welcome more passengers back to the airport in December, particularly as people look to reunite with loved ones over the Christmas break.

In November, LLA reported an 82% fall in passengers that travelled through the airport in October, as against the same period last year.
The airport welcomed around 297,000 passengers in October.
To protect the health of passengers and staff, the airport claimed that it has taken up enhanced measures, including enhanced cleaning and sanitisation, the installation of hand sanitiser units across the airport and the use of protective screens at customer touch points.
LLA is claimed to have been the first airport in the country to be awarded the Airport Health Accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI) for achieving global industry standards and best practice.
