GKN Aerospace’s subsidiary Fokker Services has redelivered Alliance Airlines’ first Fokker 70 aircraft, under a new five-year heavy maintenance checks agreement.

The two companies started their partnership in 2002 and the new deal builds on the heavy maintenance checks agreement reached in 2018 for the Australian airline’s Fokker 50 fleet.

Effective until 2025, the new agreement will see Fokker Services provide base checks for the Alliance Airlines’ fleet of Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 aircraft from its Asia facility.

Alliance Airlines CEO Lee Schofield said: “With 43 Fokker aircraft in service and long-term plans for the continued operation of the F70/F100, flexibility in our heavy maintenance programme is key and having the support of the type certificate holder is essential.”

Located in Singapore, Fokker Services has several maintenance organisation approvals from the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and other airworthiness authorities.

The company provides Alliance Airlines with services and capabilities, including repairs, engineering services, parts trading, and modifications.
