Delta Private Jets is set to open its new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Sheltair Aviation in the Ft Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), US.

Located in South Florida, the new MRO facility joins the flagship facility, centrally located at the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Both facilities provide installation and repair of Gogo Business Aviation’s in-flight Internet connectivity systems and Garmin ADS-B deployment for aircraft on the Delta Private Jets fleet.

The southern Florida maintenance facility features a 15,000ft² hangar and an additional 2,200ft² office space on Sheltair property in Ft Lauderdale.

“The facility will support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance needs with an on-site team servicing several locations in the south Florida area.”

This Sheltair complex includes 548,000ft² of hangar, office, and fixed base operation (FBO) terminal space on the north and west sides of FLL.

Delta Private Jets president Gary Hammes said: “The addition of the south Florida MRO provides us the unique position of being an operator and a maintenance service provider, giving us consistent control of our aircraft while offering retail services for Part 135 and Part 91 operators as well.”

Delta Private Jets is currently offering aircraft servicing in the south Florida area with a team of trained technicians.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, Delta Private Jets operates an FBO, the Delta Jet Center, at the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport, in addition to the Tech Service Center, a comprehensive MRO.
