Airbus has been selected by leading Greek Aegean Airlines to supply up to 42 of the A320neo range of aircraft.
The $5bn contract encompasses a firm order for 30 aircraft and an option of 12 more aircraft. The firm order includes delivery of 20 A320neo and ten A321neo aircraft.

By GlobalDataChina Development Bank (CDB) Aviation Lease Finance has entered a long-term lease agreement with Indian airline SpiceJet for five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The aircraft form part of CDB Aviation’s existing order book of 78 737 MAX family aircraft.
Deliveries of the new aircraft are expected to start in 2019.
The current fleet of SpiceJet comprises 37 Boeing 737NG aircraft and 22 Bombardier Q-400 aircraft.
Jeppesen has initiated the development of wireless data transfer systems for aircraft owners and operators. It is working in association with Bad Elf, a navigational aids provider based in the US.
The collaboration integrates the Jeppesen Distribution Manager mobile flight data update technology with Bad Elf’s Wombat portable device.
The solution will help update the avionics data cards and will also be compatible with Garmin and Avidyne avionic suites.
