The buildings and factories business of L&T has secured a Rs30.36bn ($413m) contract from Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) for the construction of Terminal 2 (T2) at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.

L&T will handle the design, construction, testing, engineering, and commissioning of the new terminal at the airport.

The contract includes the integration of services and utilities with the existing facilities at the airport.

The first phase of the terminal will be built across 255,000m² and will increase the airport’s passenger capacity by 25 million passengers per annum.
