London Heathrow Airport will ‘deep clean’ its terminals in order to limit the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus at the airport.

In an interview with BBC Radio, Heathrow Airport CEO John Holland-Kaye said: “We are doing reasonable precautions which do go beyond those recommendations (from Public Health England) just to make sure people stay safe and are reassured.

He added that the airport is focusing on cleaning its handrails, as well as making sure that plentiful supplies of hand sanitiser are available to staff and passengers.
