Changi Airports International (CAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China-based Hunan Airport Management Group to cooperate in airport consultancy projects.

Under the terms of the MoU, the companies will co-operate in the areas of planning and design and operation and management of the airports under the Hunan Airport Management Group.

The group owns and operates five airports and serves as a custodian to two other airports within the Hunan province in South Central China including the Changsha Huanghua International Airport, an important air hub in the region.

“The two partners will develop tailored training programmes and knowledge sharing platforms for mid to senior level management.”

Under the partnership, the first project will focus on improving the overall passenger experience at Changsha Huanghua International Airport by enhancing its commercial layout, passenger flow and service quality.

Pursuant to the terms of the MoU, the two partners will develop tailored training programmes and knowledge sharing platforms for mid to senior level management, as well as airport professionals.

CAI has offered consultation services in more than 20 airports in China in areas such as airport operations, passenger flow, commercial layout and development, and service quality.

Additionally, CAI also shares its airport expertise and knowledge through structured study tours and provides specialised training to Chinese aviation personnel through the China-Singapore Airport Management Academy (CSAMA).

CAI has extensive global experience that covers more than 50 airports, including Singapore Changi Airport, Brazil’s Tom Jobim International Airport, five airports in Russia’s Krasnodar and the eastern regions, and Japan’s Fukuoka Airport.
