Boeing has signed maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service and supply chain order agreements with Cairo-based Egyptair Maintenance & Engineering (EGME).

Under this agreement, EGME will offer Boeing customers services and solutions such as aircraft, engines and component maintenance.

The supply chain orders comprise landing gear exchange programme and quick engine change kit solutions.

Through Boeing’s landing gear exchange programme, EGME will provide solutions to allow repair and replace serviceable landing gear within hours.

The quick engine change kit includes hardware and components to bring a spare engine to service-ready condition.

The two parties have also entered supplier agreements, under which EGME will supply parts provisioning, engineering support and line maintenance to support Boeing’s customers.

With these deals, EGME will be the first maintenance supplier in Africa and the Middle East for Boeing.
