Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) of South Africa has taken note of a media statement issued by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) with regard to our current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Patrick Dlamini.

According to the said release, Mr. Dlamini has been appointed as the CEO of the DBSA with effect from the 1st September 2012.

ATNS Board Chairperson, Mr Mpho Mamashela, who is currently not in the country, will on behalf of the Board of Directors issue a full and detailed media statement on Mr Dlamini’s appointment and imminent departure from ATNS in due course.

Mr Dlamini leaves behind a legacy of a transformed organisation. It was apparent, therefore, that his naturally acute and imaginative mind had been thoroughly furnished unto every good work expected of a CEO.

ATNS staff members readily perceived this excellence in him; felt the stimulus of his wide range of knowledge, the compelling quality of his thorough leadership qualities; respected his passionate insistence upon accuracy; responded to his infinite patience; and, above all, they came to understand and apply logic in their reasoning.

This habit of mind, so vigorously emphasised and upheld with such enthusiasm when the going got tough, strengthened the mental and moral fibre of hundreds of ATNS employees.

ATNS hereby wishes Mr Dlamini well in his appointment as the CEO of DBSA.
