Designed on earlier modules of Passur Surface Management solutions, the new system can be used at airports where passenger demand is rising, but the capacity of existing infrastructure remains constrained.

Passur Aerospace president and CEO Jim Barry said: “Passur is focused on identifying, alerting to, and removing constraints in the airspace and on the airport surface – producing measurable value to our airline and airport customers.”

"Passur’s Surface Management Solution will benefit FLL’s passengers by allowing them to deplane as quickly and efficiently as possible."

FLL will use the system to ensure that arriving flights at the airport are immediately assigned a gate, all available resources are optimised, and passengers have an easier travel experience.

It will also allow the airport and its stakeholders to coordinate actions by sharing timely and automated information about arriving aircraft and surface traffic movements.
