Korean eVTOL aircraft developer PLANA announced a deal to supply 30 AAM aircraft to South Korean commercial airline Hi-Air, forming part of an order and business development partnership.
PLANA signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Hi-Air for its hybrid-electric advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft, CP-01, from 2030.

The six-seat CP-01 is designed to provide an efficient and environmentally friendly form of transport, with a cruising speed of 300km/h and a flight range of 500km.
According to PLANA, the CP-01 eVTOL aircraft presents an innovative solution for urban transportation challenges.
This collaboration builds on PLANA’s prior urban endeavours, such as its partnership with SkyTaxi for the delivery of 50 aircraft.
PLANA CFO Jinmo Lee said: “We are excited to partner with Hi-Air, a leading small-scale air operator in South Korea. This partnership will help us to strengthen our position in the AAM market and contribute to the development of the South Korean air mobility industry.”

By GlobalDataAlong with the LoI, the companies signed an MOU with the goal of developing cooperative business models for passenger and freight transportation based on the AAM aircraft.
Hi-Air CEO Joseph Kim said the tie-up would create a new national sector: “We are confident that this partnership will help us pioneer a new era of air mobility in South Korea. We will combine PLANA’s technology and Hi-Air’s expertise to create a new air mobility market.”
According to PLANA, this partnership aims to solidify its plans for determining the industry’s future and ushering in a new age of urban air transportation.
