Project management company SNC-Lavalin has received a contract for the delivery of programme management and design criteria professional services to Pensacola International Airport in Florida, US.

As part of the $8m contract, which has a term of around three years, the firm will assist City of Pensacola, the airport owner and operator, in concluding Project Titan Element 2.

Worth $146m, this project is a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility development programme.

Project Titan Element 2 covers the development of two MRO hangars, administrative office space and a support services centre.

Furthermore, it involves a taxiway extension, landside parking, access roadways and miscellaneous related site upgrades.

SNC-Lavalin will provide support services, including data collection on the existing site, coordination of the project’s development, design and construction, and project schedule development and updates.

The contract also includes project budget review, development of a design criteria package and supporting the selection of the design-build team (D-B), as well as reviewing the D-B team designs and performing oversight and inspection for the D-B team construction.
