With this takeover, VINCI Airports has now extended its network to 12 airports across France.
The company will not only operate the airport for a period of 15 years but will also support the business and leisure aviation activity with an investment plan of $11.2m (€10m).
This investment plan will be co-financed by the Haute-Savoie Department.

The investment plan will focus on further improving services for passengers as well crew members by redeveloping the business terminal and through the renewal of the runway.
Through its environmental policy called ‘AirPact’, VINCI Airports also plans to speed up the airport’s environmental transition.
The firm’s environmental roadmap for the airport will focus on reducing the usage of fossil fuels.
It aims to accomplish this by developing photovoltaic (PV) energy and buildings that are energy-efficient, switching to electric runway equipment as well as light electric aviation.
By implementing its plan, VINCI Airports intends to reduce carbon emissions at Annecy Mont Blanc Airport and achieve net-zero emission by the end of this decade. Last September, Vinci Airports agreed to work with Airbus and Air Liquide to promote hydrogen usage at the airports with an objective to decarbonise the aviation sector.
