Dubai-based carrier Emirates has formed a codeshare alliance with Latvia-based airBaltic to provide improved connectivity to/from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Finland.

This agreement will be beneficial for both parties, as Emirates passengers will be able to access the Baltic Sea region. In addition, airBaltic passengers will gain access to Emirates’ network via Dubai.

The alliance will improve connectivity to the Baltic States for customers across the Middle East, the Far East, and Australia.

On airBaltic flights running between Dubai-Riga, Riga-Tallin, Riga-Vilnius, and Riga-Helsinki, Emirates will put its ‘EK’ marketed code.

Meanwhile, airBaltic will put its ‘BT’ marketed code on Emirates’ courses between Dubai-Jakarta, and Dubai-Bangkok.

The passengers, through this partnership, will receive other travel benefits such as booking with one ticket, economical fares, and a single baggage policy.
