The UK’s Heathrow Airport (LHR) has announced plans to reopen Terminal 3 this month as the Covid-19 travel restrictions continue to lift in the country.
The terminal has been closed since May last year as passenger numbers dropped during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Heathrow Airport CEO John Holland-Kaye was quoted by Reuters as saying: “With passenger demand expected to increase when ministers permit fully vaccinated passengers to travel more freely, Heathrow is getting ready to welcome you back.”
Last month, the airport appointed Glendale to provide full-scale grounds maintenance service comprising two sub-packages.
The first package was for landside that has already commenced from 1 April 2021 and the second package covers works carried out airside and will begin from 1 January 2022.
Under the contract, activities to be executed by Glendale include grass cutting, shrub bed maintenance, weed control, hedge maintenance, woodland management and reinstatement works.
