Switzerland’s Zurich Airport (ZRH) has selected IDeaS Revenue Solutions’ revenue management solution to boost parking facility profits.

The airport, which has 15,000 public parking spaces, will leverage the technology company’s Car Park Revenue Management System (CPRMS) to automate data-driven, demand-based and dynamic pricing decisions.

IDeaS CPRMS will shift operations from a manual to an automated pricing approach.

The platform will deliver revenue-enhancing decisions straight to the ADVAM AltitudeReservation platform, IDeaS said.

The solution uses predictive analytics to make better data-driven decisions for a profitable parking business.

IDeaS CPRMS will also help the airport improve its strategy for revenue management and automate optimised tactical decisions.

Zurich Airport Parking and Mobility director Ronny Grau said: “While overall commercial performance at Zurich Airport has been good, IDeaS CPRMS will help us to grow our pre-booked parking business faster.

“As we begin the next phase of our revenue management journey, we are confident that investing in more sophisticated technology will drive better revenues by forecasting and optimising demand across our car parks in a way we never could before.”

IDeaS Parking global sales head Guy Barnes said: “We see growing recognition by airports that investing in a revenue management solution is necessary to realise the next level in revenue growth from their parking operations.

“I am thrilled Zurich Airport has placed its trust in IDeaS. With this partnership, Zurich Airport becomes the first airport in the DACH region to grasp this significant revenue opportunity, and we are excited to help them lead the way.”

In July last year, a Leonardo-led consortium secured a €150m contract to upgrade the Baggage Handling Systems at Zurich Airport.
