US-based Delta Air Lines Inc and Canadian airline WestJet Airlines have agreed to form a joint venture (JV) to provide increased convenience for customers travelling between the US and Canada.

Leighton Asia Limited and its JV partner Chun Wo Construction and Engineering Company Limited have won a construction contract worth $295.3m from the Airport Authority of Hong Kong.

The contractors will oversee construction activities on foundation and substructures at Terminal 2 (T2) of Hong Kong International Airport.

The contractual work is set to start in 2017 and continue until December 2021. Leighton Asia Limited is a subsidiary of CIMIC Group.
