UK airport operator BAA is to sell Edinburgh Airport in Scotland for £500m after the UK Competition Commission ordered it to sell either the Glasgow or Edinburgh facilities.
The decision follows the Competition Commission’s ruling that BAA must sell one of its Scottish airports before it disposes of Stansted airport, thereby changing the divestment schedule to reduce its dominance.
