Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA) has reported that passenger traffic at its 13 airports increased by 6.9% in October compared to the previous year.

The operator recorded a 9.1% rise in domestic passengers during the month while international traffic fell by 5.9%.

Out of OMA’s total traffic for the month, 96.7% came from commercial aviation and 3.3% from general aviation.

The total number of flight in October 2011 increased by 3.5% compared with October 2010, while domestic flights rose by 5.1% while international flights fell by 7%.
