As an AOptix value added reseller, SITA will work with airport, airline and government customers to install AOptix InSight iris recognition and face biometric technology to facilitate identity screening at airports.

SITA director, biometric services Sean Farrell said: "We have been impressed with the AOptix commitment to improve the overall passenger experience with non-invasive, easy-to-use products that minimise the time and effort to confirm a traveller’s identity."

"The AOptix InSight iris and face biometric products combined with SITA’s iBorders BioThenticate, a comprehensive biometric matching and management system, and SITA’s passenger processing systems, will deliver world-class solutions for border management and airport security checkpoints," said Farrell.

The AOptix InSight family of iris and face biometric systems provides enhanced accuracy, speed, and intuitive capability by working at a comfortable distance of 1.5m to 2.5m. It captures ISO-ICAO quality iris and face images to ensure reliable matching accuracy.
