Kuwait-based aircraft-leasing company ALAFCO has finalised a $2.2bn order with The Boeing Company to buy up to 40 737 MAX single-aisle aircraft.
The new aircraft will provide ALAFCO with increased fuel-efficiency and low operating costs, as well as support its business growth.

EgyptAir Holding Company has signed a letter of intent with Bombardier Commercial Aircraft to purchase 12 CS300 twin-engine jets with purchase rights for a further 12 aircraft.
The aircraft will be used to serve domestic and regional destinations, including the Middle East and a number of European destinations.
The Boeing Company has entered an agreement with flydubai (Dubai Aviation Corporation) to supply up to 175 MAX single-aisle aircraft with purchase rights for an additional 50 MAXs at a cost of $27bn.
The firm order includes 50 737 MAX 10 airplanes.

US-based CFM International has received a $1.9bn order from Gulf Air for 58 LEAP-1A engines and an additional seven spare engines.
The engines will equip 17 Airbus A321neo and 12 A320neo aircraft.
CFM has also agreed to support Gulf Air’s LEAP-1A engines, as part of a ten-year rate per flight hour agreement.
