The firm is showing a real-time feed from the helicopter’s electro-optic / infrared sensor on screens at the show.

The S-100 can be programmed to fly an autonomous mission profile through a simple point-and-click graphical user interface or can be directed manually.

Schiebel is working with civil aviation authorities to assure that the design, production and operation of the S-100 system are compliant with relevant regulations in anticipation of introducing and operating the UAV in civilian airspace.

The Camcopter S-100 made its first debut into the market in the 2009 Paris Air show.
