An unnamed Chinese airline has signed a conditional agreement with Bombardier Aerospace to buy six CRJ900 NextGen aircraft for $264m.

The deal also includes options for a further five CRJ900 NextGen aircraft and if the options are exercised, the total value of the order will be $491m.

CRJ900 NextGen is a lightweight jet featuring advanced aerodynamics offering improved efficiency and cost reduction, the company said.

The aircraft features a larger winglet, new interiors, larger overhead luggage bins, larger windows, improved lighting, and redesigned ceiling panels and sidewalls, Bombardier added.
