Pratt & Whitney offers the Advantage70 both as a new engine option as well as an upgrade kit for existing PW4168 engines.

Under the upgrade option, the company offers a suite of technology enhancements which can be incorporated into a fleet during engine modification.

The Advantage70 technology offers improved engine performance, including a 2% thrust increase, more than 1% reduction in fuel consumption, increased durability, and reduced maintenance cost whilst delivering 70,0001b of thrust for the A330 aircraft family.

PW4170 Advantage70 is headed by a new high pressure compressor (HPC) ring case based on designs used on other members of the PW4000 family.
